YES on Proposal 1, Tuesday, August 5th!
The Michigan Realtors (formerly known as the MAR) Public Policy Committee and Board of Directors are supporting Proposal 1. This is an important issues for many commercial real estate clients and the continued growth of Michigan’s economy. For all businesses with less than $80,000 of PPT (that is very likely you and 99% of other real estate businesses) we would now be exempt from this tax. For Michigan’s manufacturing sector and larger PPT paying businesses, reforming the way they pay this tax will make Michigan operations much more economically competitive and allows them to grow jobs and operations in Michigan.
